Coors receives a perfect score from HRC
GOLDEN, Colo. - For the third year in a row, Coors Brewing Company (NYSE: TAP)(TSX: TAP) has received a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's "Corporate Equality Index," which evaluates how major U.S. corporations treat their Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender employees, consumers and investors.

"Diversity is so important at Coors, we have made it one of our business priorities," Troy Dickerson, vice president of Diversity and Community Affairs, said. "We know that our differences strengthen us as a company - and as a community. We are proud to achieve this honor three years in a row," Dickerson added.

"We have had an opportunity to share some of our learnings and best practices with some of our customers. And through some of our groundbreaking policies such as domestic partner benefits and our inclusion of 'gender identity' in our non-discrimination policy, we have modeled the way for many other corporations," Dickerson said. Annually, Coors supports organizations within the GLBT community - from groups supporting people affected by HIV and AIDS to Pride activities and GLBT sporting events nationwide, she noted.

Since its launch in 2002, the Corporate Equality Index has become the standard by which companies are measured in regard to GLBT diversity and inclusion. In 2004 and 2005, Coors received a perfect score of 100 on the report card. In 2002 and 2003, Coors was ranked as "exceeding expectations" with a score of 86.

Coors Brewing Company is one of more than 138 major U.S. companies that scored 100 percent on the Corporate Equality Index this year - up from 101 in 2005. Researchers at HRC's Foundation - America's largest Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender organization - assessed corporate performance on criteria including non-discriminatory employment policies, same-sex domestic partner insurance, GLBT employee resource groups, diversity training, marketing, and corporate social responsibility.
