Not so best television of 2006: The stinkers
Not so best television of 2006: The stinkers
by Albert Rodriguez - SGN A&E Writer

Television's worst shows out numbered the best by a large margin in 2006. Here's the bottom of the barrel in whatever order you'd like to put them in.

1. The View
We love Ellen Degeneres, but Rosie O'Donnell is a different story. Her addition to this already-lame talk show confirmed what we already knew about her: she's a mean-spirited blabbermouth who picks fights (yes, she started it) and can't keep her cool. And, whoever prettied her up with curly hair and makeup should restore her to the flannel-wearing, mullet-sporting lesbian she was before.

2. The Bachelor
Over a dozen beautiful women, most of whom with the IQ size of a Frito, insulted each other and drove one another crazy in an Italian mansion. For what? For an average-looking, totally boring dude who broke down in tears when deciding which sex kitten to eliminate from this ridiculous reality series. Um ladies, there are hot guys running around everywhere in Italy!

3. Deal or No Deal
The fact that Howie Mandel has a job on primetime TV, after years of doing God knows what, is proof that some people are either hard up for cash or hard up for a good time.

4. Saturday Night Live
With the exception of the nerdy-attractive Andy Samberg, the entire cast of Saturday Night Live appeared to be on an artistic sabbatical last season. What was once a funny stroke of genius from creator Lorne Michaels has become the butt of its own joke.

5. 700 Club
Pat Robertson is the antichrist in my book. When shit isn't flying out of his mouth, he's channeling his right wing nutcases in hopes that sinners (i.e. Democrats) will be vanished from the Earth. He's a political wannabe who will stop at nothing to get his two evangelical cents in. By the way, doesn't he look like a monkey?
