Next week . . . Joss Stone - in the Music Lounge!
Next week . . . Joss Stone - in the Music Lounge!
by Albert Rodriquez - SGN A&E Writer

She's beautiful. Has an impeccable voice. Has been nominated for multiple Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist. Gave an electrifying performance with Melissa Etheridge. Participated in the worldwide "Live 8" concerts. And, next weekend she performs in front of thousands and thousands of Bumbershoot attendees at Seattle Center's Memorial Stadium, opening for John Legend. We're talking major artist here.

It's Joss Stone. And earlier this week, our phone lines connected. She was absolutely lovely to speak with and had wonderful words to say about her gay fans, and about that memorable occasion of sharing the stage with Melissa Etheridge. We also got giddy when we both agreed on how cute a certain British rock star is.

Joss Stone is set to play Bumbershoot on Monday, September 3. But before she does that, she's sitting in "The Music Lounge" here at the Seattle Gay News. Grab a copy of the newspaper when it hits the streets on August 31 and get familiar with this spectacular, gifted pop diva.
