Equal Rights Washington hosted a pre-election meet and greet on Capitol Hill in Seattle with candidates for the November General Election at the Rosebud Restaurant & Bar on the evening of Monday, October 8. Although ERW will not be endorsing any candidates in local races for 2007, the meet and greet provided an opportunity for candidates to meet LGBT activists and voters in an informal setting. Local candidates who attended include: City Councilmembers David Della, Tom Rassmussen and Sally Clark; Council hopefuls Tim Burgess, Bruce Harrell, Joe Szwaja, and Venus Velazquez; Port Commissioners Bob Edwards and Al Fisken; Port hopeful Gael Tarleton; School Board of Directors Darlene Flynn and Sally Soriano; and School Board hopefuls Steve Sundquist, Sherri Clark, Maria Ramirez.
