| Pacific Gender Institute announces plans for a holiday party |
Pacific Gender Institute will sponsor a holiday party on Saturday evening, December 8, to benefit Pacific Gender Support, their support organization for Transgender or gender-variant people and their loved ones in the Puget Sound. The organizing committee has named this festivity "The 2007 PGS Party: Steppin' Out."
Fran Stewart, chair of the PGI/PGS organizing committee, said, "This is our second year, and our party will provide an opportunity for folks of all ages, whatever their connections to the Pacific Northwest gender community, to gather and celebrate." Plans are for a fun-filled evening from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. at the Polish Home building (1714 18th Avenue) in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood. Parking is plentiful at the facility.
There will be guitar music by Lee Howard, who has provided superb music at previous gatherings, as well as music provided by DJ Penny who has helped this way for many events over the years. A buffet will be provided by Chefs Rebecca and Fallon. As in years past, a no-host bar will be available. There will also be an auction by led by experienced auctioneer Suzanne Adams.
Tickets are $25 per person when purchased in advance or $30 at the door. Those wishing to purchase tickets should call (206) 323-2162, e-mail PGSinfo@pacificgender.org, or mail a request with a $25 check to PGI, 1812 E Madison St #204, Seattle WA 98122.
